Portals: PORTALS is a shared refuge for the sights and sounds which shape our times. It is a collective of 16 music bloggers who have come together to collaborate in the Do-It-Together movement.
Space 15 Twenty: Space 15 Twenty is a spot in LA that is the first of Urban Outfitters unique retail settings. It allows for connections and collaborations between designers, artists, authors, musicians, and other local creative forces. I write for their blog as well as put on music events there.
Recent Projects:
Wabi - Sabi: Wabi - Sabi is the Japanese concept surrounding transience and the beauty of decay. In this project, electronic artist covered older non-electronic songs which were then sent to the videographers Wooden Lens. The video is a brief encompass of history in video, in technology, and in the exquisiteness in transience.
Woman was the Word: Woman was the Word is a project Absent Fever put together in observation of the presence of women in music and art culture. In the project we highlighted the talents of whom we consider to be some of the most prolific female bloggers, musicians, and artists.
YOUTH Mix Vol. 1: The YOUTH Mix is a compilation of artists all below 18 covering songs they listened to as kids. You can check this out at Altered Zones or The Fader.
Novateur: Novateur is a project the former Krista and the Whale and I put together in tribute to the stunning work of the music blog Delicious Scopitone.
