With midwinter impulse and mid-burn cigarette burns, impulse had her stay in and window watch the night scatter with red eyed insomnia and ecstatic eyelash ballets. Mirage-gray’s and sex-ridden stairways that mounted into still more shadow, she watched through the windows the stairways of the widowers.

I submit myself to my sheets, a captive to my crawling comfort. I rub my hands vigorously against the cloth as if I am trying to remove your dirt from my clasp. I attempt to erase the creases in my hand, hollowed and excavated. You channeled caves, engrained grooves in which you lay like it is your grave. A convict to your cave you decay. You follow. It is not as if I will turn and see you, nor that you are watching me. Nor is it that you reside in me at all. Yet somehow I feel you, shoveled in my skin. Repetitious dream all but dreamy.
